Consular-class Cruiser otherwise known as the Republic Frigate is a diplomatic vessel turned warship in the early days of the Clone Wars when the Republic had nearly no military vessels. The Charger C70 Refit saw the Consular armed with five Heavy Dual Laser Cannons and late in the war a Dual Ion Cannon was added making these ships excellent escort vessels for anti-starfighter duty or stunning enemy vessels while it’s powerful engines allow it to quickly chase down fleeing vessels or escape danger. Dedicated AA Corvette for the Republic Loyalist Minor Faction and buildable by the 3 player factions anywhere Republic ships can be built. Turbolasers on such a small ship would be kinda insane so this way it's better alongside the Arquitens as the Republic had no proper Corvette and is the only thing not a Y-Wing or capitalship that the Republic has with Ion Cannons.
