Modular Taskforce Cruiser
Special thanks to Kharak for the wonderful MTC model and texture. Rigging by Jeroen. The MTC was designed by the Empire to efficiently provide a variety of logistics solutions, by swapping between nission function modules. It's capabilities include natural disaster relieve, post combat search & rescue, repair & salvage operations, planetary suppression and pacification, rapid planetary and system exploration, including natural resource surveys to swiftly assess the viability of newly found systems to support colonization. In combat the slow Modular Taskforce Cruiser is completely incapable of defending itself, and can be deployed only as a support craft to a larger fleet. All 3 factions can build (Or steal) the MTC, and there are two versions: Planetary & System Observation Module: This module provides vision over enemy positions and forces on planets around the MTC on the Galactic map. In combat, it reveals the majority of the map with its powerful sensors. Fleet Logistics & Repair Module: This module provides a construction cost and time reduction of 15% to Corvettes, 10% to Frigates and 5% to Capital ships on the planet the MTC is stationed. This bonus does not stack with multiple MTCs. In combat, it repairs Corvettes, Frigates and Capital ships in an area around the MTC, and can deploy fields of repair drones for repairs further away.
