
Tie Fighters are absolute garbage. I decided the only way to have them be useful without spawning way to many squadrons at a time is to break the new rule of 6 fighters per squadron just for the TIE Fighter. For reference: A single blaster shot (the lasers that fighters and bombers fire) does 5 damage. A dual blaster shot does 10 damage. A corvette laser does 8 damage. And a TIE Fighter has 11 health. Designed to take 3 single fighter shots, 2 corvette shots, or 1 of *insert anything heavier*. The TIE Fighter actually does decent damage, firing dual blaster shots. Since they're so damn cheap and they're so numerous that might sound powerful, and it actually is. The first strafe run is quite powerful, but when they come around for a second run you'll have lost half if not the entire squadron already. I think it plays nicely into the lore as well, since TIE fighters were supposed to be so bad they have to be used in swarms. For reference: TIE Fighter: 11 Health TIE Interceptor: 16 Health TIE Defender: 16 Health + 50 Shields X-Wing: 20 Health + 25 Shields Y-Wing: 30 Health + 38 Shields They're really bad.
